LIFE MEANING

Six of Cups
A boy gives a little girl a Cup filled with flowers. Five more Cups nearby also hold flowers. The two stand on a simple village green amid thatched cottages.
The theme of this card is one of nostalgia and childhood memories. It is not only a reminder that it is in giving that we receive, but that joy can come from many sources: reminiscence, simple pleasures, or perhaps a source that has never occurred to you. Consider how you can incorporate spirituality and metaphysical knowledge into your everyday life, and make the miraculous more real to you

|
Four of Pentacles
A miser holds on tightly to the wealth for which he has labored in the city behind him.
There is indication of a lack of generosity here, or perhaps someone who is so focused on fear of losing, that they have forgotten how to focus on winning. The focus here is on financial security, success, and not wanting anything to go to waste. Be honest with yourself. Is "success" really worth what you're willing to pay? You will establish a new foundation, but will be unwilling to take risks, especially in affairs of the heart.

The Hanged Man
A man hangs upside down from a T cross of a living tree. This is a voluntary suspension that also includes fasting and austerities. There is a radiance about his head. The look on his face is one of contemplation rather than suffering. He has denied his physical body, offering it as a kind of sacrifice to attain spiritual knowledge.
The Hanged Man is about being suspended between the mundane and the spiritual. This card indicates a change in thinking, and a new clarity. Your hopes, desires, and goals, no longer seem as important as they once were while you re-think your values. There is a higher power guiding your affairs. Surrender to your Source.

|
Seven of Wands
A young man with a staff defends his position on a height from six adversaries below. His victory will depend on energy, courage and a sense of purpose.
This card indicates one who is holding their own against adversity. Commit yourself to your goal and let nothing deter you from it. What may feel like frustration is actually progress. The true victory here will be attained by making a stand, not the result of that stand. Refuse to accept less than what is right, and in the end you will triumph.

Eight of Pentacles
An apprentice is engraving some Pentacles. This card can be compared to the Three of Pentacles in which the craftsman is already a master.
This card often appears in the reading of one who is studying the arts or a trade. In any reading, however, it usually indicates the start of employment or employment to come, learning a trade, and small gains. Besides employment, the focus is on the backing of a project, risks, betterment, and accomplishment. Circumstances are going to change for the better, but don't try to assert yourself yet. Bide your time and wait for an opportunity to present itself

The Lovers
The Lovers stand in front of two trees. One tree bears 12 flames for the 12 signs of the Zodiac. The other is the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, complete with Serpent.
This tree bears 5 fruits representing the 5 senses. The man representing the conscious mind, gazes at the woman, representing the subconcious mind. The woman in turn looks up at the Archangel blessing their union. The Archangel represents god consciousness, the higher self in all of us.
Drawing the Lovers almost always means a choice will have to be made. This choice is usually of the variety that is between doing what "makes sense" and following your heart. The answer to this dilemma involves surrendering to God. Don't be surprised if your well-laid plans are suddenly subject to change. The Lovers remind us that we cannot attain our full potential with our conscious, rational mind alone. We must marry it to our subconscious, representing our emotions and intuition.

THE FUTURE

Five of Pentacles
Two unfortunate individuals wander in the snow, passing under a lighted church window. One is lame, the other is penniless - an unsual depiction for a Suit that usually symbolizes fortune. The fact that the pair are outside of a church can also symbolize a kind of spiritual poverty.
This card is about a "dark night of the soul", suffering and loss, or self-doubt, perhaps caused by spiritual impoverishment. You are in need of a spiritual transfusion - well-meaning advice and platitudes from others won't help. The suffering you are enduring creates compassion. You must be empty, before you can be filled with spiritual enlightenment.
You'll have more success concentrating on business right now, rather than romance. Keep a long-term perspective - you'll have to deal with uncomfortable issues, but in time it will have been for the best.
